01

What Onjob.io for candidates is

A free Onjob.io candidate account is a profile, a job feed and an application tracker that does not go quiet. Upload a résumé — PDF or Word, up to 10 MB — and the profile fills itself in: name, city, phone, summary and skills. From there every listing carries a match score computed against your profile, with the specific skills standing between you and a full match named rather than implied.

The part most job boards skip is the status. An application moves through applied, viewed, in review, shortlisted, interview, selected, hired or rejected, and the detail view shows a timeline plus exactly what you submitted. You can message the recruiter about that specific application, and on the paid tier you can see who viewed your profile, from which company, and whether they liked, skipped or came back to it.

It is genuinely free: ₹0 a month with no time limit and no card, including the AI profile builder, an ATS score, five AI applications a day and three coach messages a day. Pro is ₹99 a month with a fourteen-day trial that also needs no card. Auto-apply exists but is opt-in and off by default, and the queue for the day is reviewable before anything is sent.

02

What it does

What a free account actually contains — these are the product's own screen names, not a feature-category list.

01

A profile built from your résumé

Drag in a PDF or Word file and the profile fills itself. The completion meter names what is still missing — photo, verified phone, three skills, education, work history — because 80% completion and a verified phone are what unlock applying.

02

Match-scored job search

Tabs for all, recommended, saved and applied, filters by job type and by match threshold, and location tiers that tell you whether a role is in your city, your state, your country or remote. The score is your profile against the job, and it names the gap.

03

Application tracking that does not go quiet

Applied, viewed, in review, shortlisted, interview, selected, hired, rejected — with a timeline, what you submitted, and the ability to withdraw while it is still early. Auto-applied entries are badged as such.

04

Message the recruiter

A conversation attached to the specific application, so a question about one role does not land in a general inbox. Free accounts get a capped number of recruiter messages a month, shown as a remaining count rather than a surprise wall.

05

Résumé Studio, ATS checker and cover letters

Seventeen templates across four categories with eleven sections, a real ATS analyser that returns matched keywords, missing keywords and fixes, and job-specific cover letters saved alongside the résumés they belong to.

06

Practice and community

Mock tests by skill area and difficulty with accuracy, weak spots and a question review; a five-question daily quiz scoring 5, 10 and 20 points with a monthly leaderboard whose top ten are featured to recruiters; plus Q&A and community posts.

03

How it runs

From signup to a tracked application.

  1. Sign up free

Google or Microsoft single sign-on, or an email address — and a personal address is fine here, unlike the recruiter and employer sides, which require a work domain.

  2. Upload the résumé

One step: drop in the file and the profile is written for you. Everything is editable afterwards, and the ATS checker will tell you where the same document falls down in a screening system.

  3. Clear the apply gate

Reach 80% completion and verify your phone. The list of what is missing is explicit — first and last name, photo, verified phone, an about section, at least three skills, résumé, verified email, country, a link, education and experience.

  4. Apply, or let it apply

One click, with screening questions where the role has them. Auto-apply is opt-in and off by default; when it is on, the queue for the day is listed and anything you remove before the countdown is not sent.

  5. Track, ask, improve

Watch the real status, message the recruiter about that application, and use the ATS checker, résumé studio and mock tests on what comes back. On Pro, see who looked at your profile and what they did next.

04

Who it is for

The primary market is India, and the pricing page names three moments where the paid tier earns its ₹99.

Actively interviewing

People running several live processes at once, for whom the value is the tracker and the recruiter view rather than the job feed — knowing which application is actually moving.

Freshers and students

First-job candidates who need the profile, the résumé and the practice in one place. Mock tests, the daily quiz and 140-plus role-specific interview question banks exist for exactly this.

Career switchers

People whose résumé does not obviously match the roles they want, where the named skill gap on each match score is the most useful thing on the screen.

05

What it does not do

What the platform will not do, including two rules it holds itself to publicly.

  • It does not apply on your behalf unless you switch auto-apply on yourself. It is off by default, and the day's queue is reviewable before anything sends.
  • It is not a government body and is not affiliated with any recruiting authority. Where a deadline, exam date or vacancy count differs from an official notification, the official notification is right.
  • It does not publish leaked or company-specific interview questions, and it does not publish invented testimonials — the previous ones were removed as fabricated people.
  • It does not guarantee an outcome, and neither do we. What it guarantees is that the status you see is the status the recruiter set.
  • It is not where a company runs its hiring. The pipeline, the interviews and the offer live in the applicant tracking system. Pitch N Hire ATS →

Answers

Is it actually free?

Yes — ₹0 a month, no time limit, no credit card, including the AI profile builder, a basic ATS score, five AI applications a day and three coach messages a day. Pro is ₹99 a month and its fourteen-day trial also needs no card.

What do I have to do before I can apply?

Reach 80% profile completion and verify your phone number. The app lists the exact fields still missing rather than just refusing — photo, three skills, résumé, education, experience and the rest.

How many jobs can I apply to on the free plan?

Five AI applications a day on free, unlimited on Pro. Ordinary one-click applications and saved jobs are not what the daily limit counts.

Where do the jobs come from?

From the applicant tracking systems employers publish to — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Keka, Workday and others — read from their public endpoints. A role disappears from Onjob when the employer closes it at source, which is why listings do not go stale.

Can I talk to the recruiter?

Yes, per application, inside the app. Free accounts get a set number of recruiter messages a month and the remaining count is shown, so you can spend them on the applications that matter.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes. Settings has a delete-account flow that requires you to type the word DELETE, and privacy settings let you hide your profile from recruiters without leaving.
